Section 2. Purpose

The purposes for the establishment of the Institute and which shall at the same time constitute its authority to function like a college of the Institute in a university setting are, as follows:

a) To serve as a permanent body in the Grand Lodge of the Philippines that shall take care of, and be responsible for, the continuing Masonic education of the Craft;

b) To formulate or establish a syllabus or outline of a course common to all regions and districts in this jurisdiction, and to review, revise or amend the same from time to time;

c) To obtain, prepare and reproduce such instructional and teaching materials and manuals as shall be required for the study course(s) of the Institute;

d) To train the teaching staff of the Institute.
