Proficiency examination before advancement

Sec. 28. Before a lodge shall advance an Entered Apprentice or Fellow Craft to a higher degree, he must have given satisfactory evidence, by strict examination in open lodge, that he is entirely proficient and well qualified In that degree or those which he has already taken. Any number of petitioners may be examined at any meeting but not more than five (5) shall be examined at any one time. Such examination shall be held in accordance with the Monitor.
