EDICT No. 261-C

AUTHORIZING THE PUBLICATION AND DISTRIBUTION OF THE REVISED AND UPDATED BLUE MONITOR OF 2015 AND PRESCRIBING ITS USE AS THE OFFICIAL MASONIC CYPHER IN THIS GRAND JURISDICTION

WHEREAS, the Masonic cypher or "Monitor" embodies our Blue Lodges' Rituals and Lectures and serves as the indispensable tool of all Masons in this Grand Jurisdiction in imparting the instruction of the Craft for the three Degrees of Masonry and functions as the prescribed reference guide to the various Liturgy, Rituals and Ceremonies of the craft;

WHEREAS, the Monitor has been updated by Edict 260 (Gabionza) Edicts 261, 261-A, 261-B, (Espino) and further reviewed and updated by the Subcommittee on Works formed by Most Worshipful Tomas G. Rentoy III, and duly reported to and approved during the 2016 ANCOM as part of the report of the Senior Grand Lecturer;

WHEREAS, while the initial batches of the Blue Monitor have already been authorized to be printed on December 18, 2015 by PGM Rentoy III, it is now necessary to resume the final printing thereof and provide the brethren of this Grand Jurisdiction with the uniform and official version of the updated Monitor which shall henceforth be used in this jurisdiction.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, VOLTAIRE T. GAZMIN, Grand Master of Masons in the Jurisdiction of the Philippines, by virtue of the authority and power in me vested by the Constitution of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of the Philippines, do hereby decree that the Monitor referred as the "Blue Monitor of 2015" be made the official Monitor for the three (3) Degrees of Masonry in this Grand Jurisdiction.

PROVIDED, that the printing of such Monitor is hereby authorized, and distributed to the brethren through the GLP Masonic Store by direct purchase by individual masons or by Lodges through orders placed by their respective secretaries.

PROVIDED FURTHER that the printing and use by lodges and by the brethren of all previous versions of the Monitor (Old Monitor of 1962 and the Centennial Monitor of 2012) shall now be discontinued.

This edict is effective immediately from the date of its promulgation and is to be read in open Lodge at the stated meeting immediately following its receipt, and its reading shall be recorded in the minutes of the same stated meeting.
